Introduction
On 13 February 1856, a decision was made in Prince Schwarzenberg's palace in Vienna, the centre of the then Austrian-Hungarian monarchy, to establish a joint-stock company called 'Austrian Association for Chemical and Metallurgical Production'. Spolchemie manufactures about 500 products within three main product profiles.
Basic Inorganic compounds:
Sodium and potassium hydroxide (soda and potash lye).
Chlorine, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite.
Epichlorohydrine, allylchloride
Special Inorganic compounds:
Hydrofluoric acid, sodium fluoride
Potassium permanganate
Aluminium oxide, synthetic sapphire
Products of this group find their place practically in all industries, in chemistry, petrochemistry, paper industry, glass industry, mechanical engineering, electrotechnical industry, pharmaceutical industry, food industry, energy engineering, water treatment, building industry, etc.
Synthetic resins:
Basic and modified low, medium, and high molecular epoxide resins.
Alkyd and polyurethane resins. Lacquer colophony-type resins. Water soluble resins.
Final resin based compositions for use in building, electrotechnical and consumer goods industry.
Synthetic resins are used for the manufacture of coating compositions, in building industry (masonry primers, insulation and coating compositions, poured resin floorings, polymer concrete and polymer mortars, jointing compounds, putty coats, and joint cements), in electrotechnical, consumer goods, and in other industries.
Spolchemie deals in these commodities directly. Obtained certificates EN ISO 9001 and 14001, and the commitment of whole company´s staff to quality give the customers a guarantee of a standard quality of products.
All dangerous substances are packed and labeled in compliance with Act no. 157/98 Coll. (in the sense of Act no. 352/99 Coll.). This Act is fully harmonised with similar laws valid in all EU countries. This packing ( labelling is also in accordance with European legislation in the field of transport of dangerous goods (ADR, RID, IMDG-code, etc.). Dangerous products are supplied together or accompanied by Material Safety Data Sheets in corresponding languages.
As a standard, each shipment is accompanied by Quality Certificate.
Spolchemie´s activities do not consist only in manufacture or sale but also in the solving of problems and satisfying the needs of the customers.
