Shinko Chemical Co.,Ltd.
Introduction
Common industrial wastes are a potentially rich source of rare natural resources.
As a rule, companies are legally responsible for disposing of their industrial waste. To accomplish this, they must first determine the composition of their waste in order to implement appropriate disposal processes. Shinko Chemical stands ready to analyze industrial waste to determine if there are recyclable substances present. If there are, we command unique expertise that allows us to develop programs that can make practical use of these potentially valuable components.
Until these processes were developed, Japanese high-tech industries had depended for the most part on foreign suppliers for indispensable resources like vanadium and other rare minerals. We were the first Japanese company to extract vanadium from the ash produced by thermal power plant boilers, an achievement that made it possible to recycle rare metals. Spurred on by rising demand for higher standards of environmental protection, we have committed ourselves to refining and upgrading our processes to make resource conservation ever more effective and practical.
The benefits of recycling
It is now possible to minimize the environmental effects of industrial waste discharge and, in the process, virtually eliminate the risk of polluting or damaging the environment. At Shinko Chemical, we have successfully developed proprietary processes that not only greatly reduce the adverse effects of industrial waste, they also help preserve precious natural resources.
ISO9001-& ISO14001-based business expansion
As environmental awareness has grown, there has also been an increased focus on the role of recycling processes. In response, Shinko Chemical has pursued full-scale material recycling activities, earning ISO9001 certification for indium products extracted from oil residues in 2003. and ISO14001 was certified in 2006.
Today, with these ISO standards in effect, we are committed to helping you implement ISO14000-certified processes and, as a result, reduce your impact on the environment.
