Introduction
Research and Development Center for Mineral and Coal Technology (RDCMCT) was established in 1976 when the Bureau of Research for Mine and Mineral Processing was merged with the Academy of Geology and Mines. Previously, the RDCMCT or tekMIRA was known as the Mineral Technology Research and Development Centre. The name was expanded from the Mineral Technology Development Centre. Currently, tekMIRA is included within the Agency for R & D of Energy and Mineral Resources. Using such a name, it is hoped that the center will be a professional institution when conducting its R & D activities and technology services in mineral and coal sectors. The center itself has gained the ISO 9001:2000 for the System of Administration Management.
