Introduction

KGHM Ecoren is an innovative, dynamically developing company, which deals with the production of metals and their compounds as well as the recycling of industrial waste.
Mission: Through innovation we are trying to reduce the burdens upon the environment which result from economic activity of human beings. We are working for people and their environment to secure their sustainable development.
The name Ecoren was coined from two words: ecology and rhenium (the company's logo is the atom of rhenium). The Company is the only in Europe producer of compounds of rhenium – a very rare and precious metal used mainly in the petrochemical and aviation industries.
Ecoren's products are obtained as by-products of copper production at KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. The Company has also been recycling metallurgical slag for many years. It is an important element of ecological policy pursued in the Copper Basin.
