Abu Zaabel Engineering Industries (AZE) was established in the year 1976 as a basis for manufacturing heavy equipments. AZE, today, is a group of three factories.
The first factory is the Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Factory which started production in 1983. The Factory was designed with integrated capabilities to Design, Manufacturing and Machining of Medium and Heavy Mechanical Equipment and Components.
The second factory is the Steel Production Factory which started production in 1994. The Factory produces, mainly, Special Steels in the form of Billets, Ingots, Forged/Machined Bars and Rollers.
The third factory is the Hot and Cold Rolling Mill which started production in 2006. The Mill produces a combined capacity, of Sheets and Plates of Alloy Steels, of 120,000 tons per year. Plates up to 3.5 m wide, with thickness down to 6 mm. Coils up to 1.5 m wide with thickness down to 0.2 mm. The Mill is Lloyd's Registered for manufacturing Steel Plates Grades A,B,D.
